Why I Became A Realtor

I Finally Decided To Bet On Myself.

In 2006, I found myself at a crossroads. Colorado was going through a difficult time, companies were laying people off, and I was facing many of the same challenges. Instead of waiting for life to happen to me, I chose to start over and pursue something I had loved for years: real estate.

Long before I earned my license, I was the person who stopped at open houses just because the signs were out. I toured new construction whenever I could because I was fascinated by how homes were designed, built, and lived in. My father also taught me how to repair and remodel his home, and those lessons eventually led me to remodel several homes of my own.

Before real estate, I worked in life insurance, helping families make difficult financial decisions while handling deeply personal medical and financial information. That experience taught me how important honesty, compassion, and confidentiality are when someone is trusting you with a major life decision.

Life has also given me my own share of transitions. I've raised a "yours, mine and ours" family, navigated divorce, rebuilt my business, and started over more than once. Those experiences are part of why I understand that buying or selling a home is rarely just about the property.
